What a disappointment!
Rob, GiLL vs Mick + Guest
It was a hard
fought battle on both sides of the war! Mick had been paired up with a special
guest yank! The match started out very hopeful for Rob and I as we developed and
traded. As Rob and I competed for the mines, and fought over who owned the
turkeys mick and the yank were devising cunning plans, they had restricted us to
half of the map. Early battles indicated to us that we were stronger than them,
and I was for quite a long time. At best I had a score 4000 greater than the
enemies.
But enough
bragging, it was never to be. To be honest, with no offence, Rob's performance
was less than stunning, His score was never in competition with the other
players. Mick's score deserved commendation and he played well.
After a wave of
attacks by Mick I defended Rob's Capital and Rob helped himself also. However I
couldn't contain the oncoming forces of Mick. We will never know what would have
happened after a weird desktop boot. I had started building a wonder before
hand. Was it lag? Was it hacks? Was it the sheer uglyness of the yank? We simply
will not know!
